Goodbyes and New Beginnings

The school year has gone by in a blur of end of the year field trips, testing and grading, and the start of summer training! Below are some pictures to help sum up the time between now and my last post!

With only a few weeks left of student teaching, I walked across the graduation stage at the NMU's spring 2017 commencement ceremony with my fellow grads!

Graduation day proved to be quite winter-y for May (socks served as a nice way to keep my hands warm). However, we still enjoyed a great walk along the shore and had a wonderful time mingling with all of the families of recent grads at a graduation BBQ! My Mom, Dad, sister (pictured above) and Aunt and Uncle were able to make it into town for the celebrations!

I had a chance to share my passion for skiing with the fourth graders during a talk about cross country skiing and living a healthy lifestyle. In this picture, I explain the difference between classic and skate skiing.

Above are students making bubbles as an end of the year whole class reward! They also got to pick their seats the last two days of school!

The final goodbyes to this great group was hard but I know that they all have a bright future. I appreciate all the patience they gave me as I learned along side them this year. It will be a group to miss for sure! Can't wait to be back at Father Marquette subbing next year to see their bright smiles again!
