This week was a short week as we prepared to head into Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday. The surprise came when we had a snow day on Tuesday! After the 75 degree weather weekend Mother Nature pleased us with snow on April 11th! Even with the shortened week we were still able to fit in LOTS of state presentations and our first book club meeting!

Students each picked a state to research and then present to the class. They also shared with us a food from their state. We had lots of tasty treats this past week including cactus candies from Arizona, blueberries from Maine, peach pie from Georgia and fortune cookies from California. We were so proud of all the presenters, they did an amazing job!

This Wednesday we had our first book club meeting. After setting goals for how much they needed to read groups met together to dicuss their books and talk about illustrations they made based off of their first few chapters.
