While all the students and staff at Father Marquette Elementary are scattered around the country for spring break, I headed up north to Fairbanks, Alaska to compete in the last races of the season! We have four different races during our time here: a 15 k skiathlon, skate sprint, team relay and 30 k skate race. It has been sunny and warm (especially for AK!) with temperatures getting up to 30 in the middle of the day! Below are some photos.

Quarter-final heat during the skate sprint. I was super excited to be in the same heat as Jessie Diggins!

Sunset at Birch Hill Venue after the skate sprint day!

Had the chance to take a short dog sled ride on our off day!

Sled dog trails perfect for morning runs right outside our lodging!

Finish stretch at the venue.
