S3 - Model digital age work and learning.

Standard 3c- For this standard, I have used a google form to track a student’s during the morning routine throughout the school year. This would be used in a kindergarten classroom to track behaviors and progress. Over time, this information can be complied and shared with other teachers and parents. With this data, a plan can be created for the specific student to limit the amount of interference their behavior has with academic success. Because this survey is completed in a google form, a teacher can easily complete it each day. Once the information has been collected it is automatically complied and can be analyzed. This is a great example of this standard because it is a way to effectively share relevant information with a parent and other teachers about a student in an organized way. This information may be important if you are creating a team to work on an individual plan for the student.

Standard 3d- One tool that is widely used within the field of education is google classrooms. While working with a seventh grade social studies teacher, I put together a tutorial on how to get started using google classrooms. This particular teacher has never been given any instruction to the program and is relatively new to using technology within his classroom. Therefore, I set up this document for someone who has little background in using google classrooms. Within this step by step explanation the user learns how to add students into their classroom and how to create assignments. This activity shows that I engage in collaboration with peers to facilitate effective use of current digital tools. In the future, I would like to expand this document to cover other frequently asked questions about google classrooms. Having this material will be helpful for easy reference when you are still learning the basics of google classroom.
