Into the Swing of Things

I have already finished my third week of student teaching, time is flying by! The community at Father Marquette Elementary has been so welcoming I cannot imagine a better place to be! Below are a few highlights from the first quarter of my placement!

Forth graders make rosaries once a month as part of a service learning project.

We wrapped up our fifty states and capitals unit with a final spelling and social studies test!

Third graders made log cabins with pretzels and frosting. They wrote about the process they used to make their cabins to survive as early settlers!

Now it is time for Spring Break! Once we come back, I will take over all of third grade social studies and slowly transition to teaching more classes! I cannot wait!
