Field Trip Fun!

One of the best parts about Father Marquette Elementary is how near the school is from downtown. For most field trips this year, we were able to walk were we needed to go as a class. It is part of the adventure to get to walk together as a class. On the first field trip I attended with my class we got rain, rain, rain. However, everyone came to school with a smile on their face and an umbrella in their hand. Our walk to the Kaufman Auditorium to see the Children's Concert put on by the Marquette Symphony Orchestra ended up being a blast! After the concert we headed to Jimmy John's for lunch.

During the final week of school we made our way to the Peter White Public Library. We were able to pick out books to put on our summer reading lists! There are so many different places and ways to read!

The all school picnic also took place the last week of school. We walked down to lower harbor and enjoyed the park and a wonderful picnic. It was great to see the older students helping the younger ones and to mingle with parents who stopped by.
